Hire Me

I'm a full-stack developer and sysadmin who speaks whatever language the job requires. Give me time and I'll deliver in any ecosystem my current natural habitat is Elixir with Typescript and Python being others I've used (and still use, just less) in the past.

I strongly encourage you to read my first post to ensure we are a culture fit.

What I Bring

Proficient in: Elixir, TypeScript, Python and any other language that has a working manual. Interested in: Kotlin Multiplatform (I've done React Native, I can't stand its glitches) and Rust (to get closer to systems design)

Hobbies: Playing with ESP32 microcontrollers.

System Administration

I hold both LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 certifications, so I know Linux from the kernel up. These days I use NixOS by default, it's declarative, reproducible, and the only way I've found to actually trust my infrastructure between machines.

I'm experienced with Ansible, Kubernetes, and Terraform, enough to know when to use each and when to walk away from all three.

Databases

Relational or not, I'm comfortable either way:

  • SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL

  • NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis

What I'm Looking For

Long-term work. I'm not interested in short gigs or firefighting. I want to understand the domain, and build things that last. A project where I can grow with the codebase and the people around it.

AI Policy

I won't work for anyone with extremist opinions on AI usage. I am a responsible user of large-language models and routinely use locally-run Qwen to aid, not vibe, with the boring parts of coding: editing the wording of human-written documentation for clarity, helping me enforce clarity on my commit messages and conventional commit style, creating skeleton boilerplate for test suites. Literally the things where I can easily review every line without my time being consumed only reviewing.
